eStrats Features

Pimsware eStrats generates an analytical stratification report on a portfolio of debt, which includes charts and percentage breakdowns by dollar amount and number of accounts. Whether you are considering a portfolio to purchase, or preparing a portfolio to sell, Pimsware eStrats presents a summary of the data necessary to make an informed decision.

What can you do with stratification reports?

1. Comparisons - Period to period comparisons are easier with a stratified portfolio. If you’ve ever asked yourself “How good was my valuation assumptions on a portfolio purchased 14 months ago?" and can not answer this question for every acquisition, then eStrats is your solution.

2. Evaluation assumptions – One effective way you can avoid endless hours to review bid files is to use eStrats. In less than five minutes you can map the portfolio and view its stratification in 27 different categories to make an informed decision on your bid.

3. Measure dispersion - Statistically correct stratification ranges are the most effective means to determine dispersion. The simplest measure of dispersion is the range, which is calculated by taking the difference between the maximum and minimum values in the data set.

4. Evaluate portfolio performance – A true measurement of performance is though stratification. To measure the performance of one or only a few accounts is not very meaningful. It’s either good or bad, it has a high balance or low balance, and it is a skip account or not. Proper aggregation builds a picture of performance that you can apply to today’s decision to sell a portfolio, or tomorrow’s acquisition.
